Welcome to Lumen! I am Ophélie, general practitioner for over 10 years and started a new practice for injectables in October 2022.
It all started in 2011 with my first own general practice in Sint-Gilles. General medicine suited my personality perfectly; you can develop your practice wherever you want, do very varied work and are close to the people. I preferred to settle in Brussels because of the lively character of our capital city. The practice grew quickly and we are now a group of 5 doctors with 2 practice addresses.
In recent years, I became very interested in the world of aesthetic medicine. I started to study and to do hands-on training in this field. It is a discipline in which a lot is evolving, but about which, unfortunately, many prejudices still exist. I personally find it amazing how these small interventions can make a big difference. The result is not only aesthetic, but also has a strong positive impact on a patient’s self-confidence and overall appearance. These are treatments with real results.
This efficiency fits perfectly with an active lifestyle like mine and, no doubt, many others. I can combine my medical knowledge, technical skills and creativity, and at the same time build a relationship with my patient.
